Devan’s Divine At Macau Poker Cup Championship Posted on Dec 29 |
PokerStars Macau at Casino Grand Lisboa hosted the Macau Poker Cup Championship (MPCC) and set a new record for biggest prize pool in the Macau Poker Cup series as 158 players competed in the MPCC Main Event for nearly HKD $3 Million in prize money.
Christmas came early for “Devan” Ying Seng Tan from Hong Kong who won the Main Event and a first prize of HKD $727,600. Devan outlasted a tough field on the final table including PokerStars Team Asia Pros Tae Joon Noh and Bryan Huang. |

Joe Cada is the new 2009 WSOP Champion Posted on Nov 11 |
All eyes were on the final table at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, last night as PokerStars sponsored player, 21-year-old Michigan native Joseph Cada went head’s up against Darvin Moon, a 46 year old logger from western Maryland. After just 2.5 hours of play, Cada emerged victorious with $8.5 million in winnings, the WSOP championship title and a new record as the youngest Main Event champion in the history of the World Series. |

Yevgeniy Timoshenko is the new 2009 world champion of online poker Posted on Sep 29 |
The PokerStars.com World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) Main Event ended late on Monday night after thousands of players competed for 23 hours to win their share of the $10 million prize pool. Yevgeniy "Jovial Gent" Timoshenko, a professional player originally from Ukraine, cut through the 2,144-strong field in the $5,200 No-Limit Hold’em tournament to take home the $1.7 million first prize.
